 Top 10 Tips - Achieve the goal in 2008

1. You don’t have to be in Israel to learn Hebrew. With the right materials and support you can progress just as much.

2. Do a little bit everyday. Ten minutes is ample time enough.

3. Be sensuous. The combination of speaking, reading, writing and listening is critical for retention and advancement.
4. Leave perfectionism at the door and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
5. Have fun! Choose study-kits that incorporate songs, poetry and dialogues to help you learn.
6. Make it interesting. Learn through keeping up to date with current events and use a newspaper for your level, for example Ulpan Or’s weekly E-Tone® interactive electronic paper.
7. Have a good attitude and set personal goals for what you want to learn.  If it helps, hire an experienced coach.
8. Associate the unfamiliar with the familiar. Put new words into a context that make them easier to recall. For example, my left hand is very ‘smol’!
9. Choose materials that are versatile and empower you to listen, read and speak whether at home or on the go.
10. Actively use the language. When possible use the language aloud rather than reciting silently to yourself.
