After years of successfully running intensive Hebrew programs, we at Ulpan-or conducted research in quest of yet the best formula for rapid Hebrew acquisition.
We found out that combined individual class and outdoor T-Ulpan (Touring Ulpan) activities gave best results. We further found out that there a very effective way to divide the class activities into smaller chunks of face-to-face individual meetings, followed by self-study time spent in Ulpan-Or offices.
Based on those findings, we have designed the "Mini-Israel" workshop.
This workshop has been designed to combine classroom studies with Ulpan-Or Touring Ulpan activities and let you have a real Israel experience, being "immersed" into Hebrew most of the day, during the workshop.
The "Mini-Israel" workshop is held in a "one-on-one" setup with a private coach, utilizing Ulpan-Or unique methods built on special program that is designed for student's individual needs.
Our two-week Mini-Israel workshops start every Sunday ending on Thursday the next week throughout the year.
Each daily session lasts 3 hours. The session is split into 3 half-hour individual lessons, each followed by a self study session in Ulpan-Or office.
In one of the sessions students participate in either an outdoor Touring ulpan (T-Ulpan) session, studying Hebrew while exploring Jerusalem / Tel Aviv and practicing Hebrew in live day-to-day situations, or in a Cafe-ulpan session, speaking Hebrew over coffee in one of the charming Israeli coffee shops.
A total of two out-of-office sessions will be conducted during the workshop.
Workshops have been designed for all levels from the Total Beginner to the Very advanced level. Existing knowledge, special needs and requirements are taken into account when tailor designing the course for each participant. Be able to communicate in Hebrew with a significantly increased confidence and fluency.
Even after one week our students make remarkable progress! Our students are usually able to advance one full level in just two weeks! (It takes several months to archive such results in a regular institution)
Basic Level Mini-Israel Workshop
After completing the Basic Level Personal Hebrew Workshop you will acquire a basic vocabulary of some 250-300 useful words and expressions, including modern slang.
You will be able to:
· use Hebrew verbs in present tense.
· construct basic sentences in Hebrew.
· participate in a simple day-to-day conversation with Israelis.
·express basic feelings, emotions and thoughts in Hebrew.
·read fairly complex Hebrew text with vowels and simple text without vowels.
·write short simple stories in Hebrew.
You will gain sufficient confidence to be able to converse in Basic Hebrew with Israelis.
Intermediate Level Mini-Israel workshop
After completing the Intermediate Level Personal Hebrew Workshop you will acquire new vocabulary of some additional 250-300 useful words and expressions, including modern slang.
You be able to:
· use Hebrew verbs in present and past and even partially in future tenses.
· participate in a day-to-day conversation with Israelis.
·express feelings, emotions and thoughts in Hebrew.
·read fairly complex Hebrew text without vowels
·write stories in Hebrew.
You will gain sufficient confidence to be able to converse freely with Israelis.
Advanced Level Mini-Israel workshop
After completing the Advanced Level Personal Hebrew Workshop you will acquire new vocabulary of some new 250-300 useful words and expressions, in high Hebrew including modern slang.
You be able to:
· use Hebrew verbs in present and past and future tenses, including irregulars
· participate in conversations and discussions with Israelis.
·express feelings, emotions and thoughts in Hebrew.
·read complex Hebrew text
·gain access to Israeli media and culture
You will gain confidence to be able to converse fluently with Israelis.
