ח ַ ס ֶפּ ַ ה ר ַ ח ַ א ןי ִרי ִט ְפ ַ מ ןי ֵא :ח ַ ס ֶפּ ַ ה ת ֹ וכ ְל ִה ְּ כ ֹ ול ר ָמ ֱא ה ָּ ת ַ א ף ַ אְו
.ן ָמ ֹ וקי ִפ ֲא
The wise one, what does he say?
"What are the testimonies, the statutes and the laws
which the L-rd, our G-d, has commanded you?" You,
in turn, shall instruct him in the laws of Passover, [up
to] `one is not to eat any dessert after the Passover-
lamb.'

ת ֶא אי ִצ ֹ וה ֶ ׁ ש י ִפ ְלוּ . ֹ ול אֹלְו - ם ֶכ ָל ?ם ֶכ ָל תאֹּז ַ ה ה ָדֹב ֲע ָה ה ָמ
רֹמ ֱאֶו וי ָּ נ ִש ת ֶא ה ֵה ְק ַ ה ה ָּ ת ַ א ף ַ אְו .ר ָּ ק ִע ְּ ב ר ַ פ ָּ כ ל ָל ְּ כ ַ ה ן ִמ ֹ ומ ְצ ַ ע
וּ ּ לי ִא . ֹ ול אֹלְו - י ִל .םִי ָר ְצ ִּ מ ִמ י ִתא ֵצ ְּ ב י ִל יי ה ָ ׂש ָע ה ֶז רוּב ֲע ַּ ב : ֹ ול
.ל ָא ְג ִנ הָי ָה אֹל ,ם ָ ׁ ש הָי ָה
The wicked one, what does he say?
"What is this service to you?!" He says `to you,' but
not to him! By thus excluding himself from the
community he has denied that which is
fundamental. You, therefore, blunt his teeth and say
to him: "It is because of this that the L-rd did for me
when I left Egypt"; `for me' - but not for him! If he
had been there, he would not have been redeemed!"
