Karpas ס ַּ פ ¿ר ַּ כ
םי ִכ ְר ָב ְמוּ ,ח ַ ל ֶמ י ֵמ ְּ ב תִי ַ ז ְכ ִמ ת ֹ וח ָפּ ס ַ פּ ְר ַּ כ םי ִל ְב ֹ וט

.ה ָמ ָד ֲא ָה י ִר ְפּ א ֵר ֹ ו ּ ב ,ם ָל ֹ וע ָה ך ֶל ֶמ וּני ֵהֹל ֱא יי ה ָּ ת ַ א ךוּר ָּ ב
Take less than a kezayit (the volume of one olive) of the "karpas" -
parsley, dip it into salt-water or vinegar, and recite the following
blessing:
Blessed are You, L-rd, our G-d, King of the universe, who creates
the fruit of the earth.
When reciting this blessing have in mind that it is also for the
bitter herbs (of maror and korech, to be eaten later on)
Baruch ata adonai eloheinu melech ha'olam
bore peri ha'adama
Blessed are You, L-rd, our G-d, King of the universe, who creates
the fruit of the earth.
