.ה ָ ׁ ש ָק ה ָדֹב ֲע וּני ֵל ָע וּנ ְּ תִיַו ,וּנוּ ּ ננ ַ עְיַו םי ִר ְצ ִּ מ ַ ה וּנ ָתֹא וּע ֵרָיַּו

"The Egyptians treated us badly and they made us suffer, and they put

hard work upon us."

ה ָנא ֶר ְק ִת י ִּ כ הָי ָהְו ,ה ֶּ ב ְרִי ן ֶפּ ֹ ול ה ָמ ְכ ַ ח ְת ִנ ה ָב ָה :ר ַ מ ֱא ֶּ נ ֶ ׁ ש ֹ ומ ְּ כ - םי ִר ְצ ִּ מ ַ ה וּנ ָתֹא ועריו

.ץ ֶר ָא ָה ן ִמ ה ָל ָעְו ,וּנ ָּ ב ם ַ ח ְל ִנְו וּני ֵא ְנׂש ל ַ ע אוּה ם ַ ג ף ַ ס ֹ ונְו ה ָמ ָח ְל ִמ

"The Egyptians treated us badly," as it is said: Come, let us act cunningly

with [the people] lest they multiply and, if there should be a war against
us, they will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the land."

י ֵר ָע ן ֶבִיַו .ם ָתֹל ְב ִס ְּ ב ֹ ותֹנ ַ ע ן ַ ע ַ מ ְל םי ִּ ס ִמ י ֵר ָ ׂש וי ָל ָע וּמי ִ ׂשָיַּו :ר ַ מ ֱא ֶּ נ ֶ ׁ ש ה ָמ ְּ כ - וּנוּ ּ נ ַ עְיַו

.ס ֵס ְמ ַ ע ַ ר ת ֶאְו םֹת ִפּ ת ֶא .הֹע ְר ַ פ ְל ת ֹ ונ ְּ כ ְס ִמ

"And they made us suffer," as it is said: "They set taskmasters over [the
people of Israel] to make them suffer with their burdens, and they built

storage cities for Pharaoh, Pitom and Ramses."

.ך ֶר ָפ ְּ ב ל ֵא ָר ְ ׂשִי י ֵנ ְּ ב ת ֶא םי ַ ר ְצ ִמ וּד ִב ֲעַיַו :ר ַ מ ֱא ֶּ נ ֶ ׁ ש ֹ ומ ְּ כ - ה ָ ׁ ש ָק ה ָדֹב ֲע וּני ֵל ָע וּנ ְּ תִיַו

"And they put hard work upon us," as it is said: "The Egyptians made the
children of Israel work with rigor.
