NEW T&C- April 2020
Welcome to the Ulpan-Or Hebrew course.
We will do our utmost to provide you with the best possible program based on our RLA – Rapid Language Acquisition method.
Our staff will be delighted to help you in achieving significant progress in Hebrew, while enjoying the process.
Please note below the terms and conditions which apply to our program.
Ulpan-Or will coordinate course duration, starting date and schedule with the student prior to the beginning of the course.
To ensure your success, please make every effort possible to adhere to your schedule.
In the event of a didactic or any other need, Ulpan-Or may switch you to a different teacher during your course.
Note: Ulpan-Or does not schedule lessons during Shabbat and Jewish and Israelis holidays.
Ulpan-Or course subscriptions are calendar-based, i.e., their duration is determined by the period to which the student subscribe. Those are not based on a pre-calculated number of lessons.
In most cases, an extra lesson occurs once in a while, which happens due to the fact that there are 4.5 weeks in one month (and not 4), so altogether over the period of the subscription, the student participates in more sessions than expected.
Note: Lessons will not take place on Jewish holidays as follows – Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Pesach, Israeli Independence Day, Shavuot.
The extra lessons accumulated throughout the program often make up for the missed classes during the holidays.
However, in some instances, Ulpan-Or will make an effort to provide makeup lessons conducted in a group setup.
Online learning is facilitated through Skype, Zoom or any other internet platform.
Lessons may be recorded for Ulpan-Or purposes.
Lesson Cancellations and Changes
Consistency of the lessons is essential for your progress, and we do not encourage changes or cancellations.
Lesson rescheduling: Students can cancel or reschedule up to one lesson a month.
Any additional changes will not be allowed, and the lessons will be forfeited.
Late show up: the teacher will wait only up to 10 minutes. Passed that, the lesson will be considered missed and will not be rescheduled.
A notification by the form* of at least 48 hours in advance is required to be able to reschedule a canceled lesson.
Any canceled lesson needs to be rescheduled within 30 days of the cancellation.
*The form is available in your account through the Ulpan-Or website and the following link.
Changes to Course Dates by the Teacher
In case the teacher needs to change the lesson dates, he/she will coordinate those in advance with the student.
